The College of Chemistry’s NMR Facility at the University of California, Berkeley is looking for a highly qualified postdoctoral scholar to assist with solid-state NMR applications as well as general facility maintenance. The position is for one year (12 months) with the possibility of renewal up to an additional four years, and the financial support does not depend on grant funding.

At the NMR core facility of the University of Cologne, the position of an engineer will be open from July 1st, 2018. The deadline for applications is 30th of May.

The German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) is a unique non-university research center which is dedicated to the subject dementia and all its areas, as well as other neurodegenerative diseases. The center compasses the full spectrum of fundamental research through population sciences to health care research.

Two postdoctoral positions are available in the group of Prof. Nate Traaseth in the Department of Chemistry at New York University. The laboratory is located in the heart of Manhattan (Greenwich Village) within New York City. The research project will focus on structure-function relationships for receptor tyrosine kinases and intracellular protein-protein interactions involved in human growth development using NMR spectroscopy and other biophysical techniques. Members of the group have access to the New York Structural Biology Center and NMR resources at New York University.

The National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL) seeks an individual with strong administrative skills for a permanent position as Research Coordinator II for the NHMFL user facilities located at the University of Florida. Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM- or business-related field and two years experience with project management, preferably in a major user instrumentation facility or national lab setting.

A 2.5 years postdoc position in structural characterisation and design of novel antibiotics in the group of Dr. Markus Weingarth at Utrecht University, the Netherlands is open.

Multiple Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Positions in Hyperpolarized 13C Metabolic Imaging.

Postdoctoral positions are available for the 36T/1.5GHz Series-Connected-Hybrid (SCH) NMR project at the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL) in Tallahassee Florida. The positions will support the development and operation of the ultrahigh field magnet for NMR spectroscopy of spin ½ and quadrupolar nuclei for (1) biological and (2) materials applications.

A tenure track position for a Research Engineer is opened at IFSTTAR - France in low-field NMR and MRI applied to civil engineering and environmental sciences.

The Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), in collaboration with the CNRS Centre de Biophysique Moléculaire (CBM) in Orléans (France), is seeking candidates for a postdoctoral position in Biomolecular NMR.

 

A postdoctoral position is available immediately in microscopic MRI (µMRI) study of articular cartilage. This position is funded by a 5-year R01 grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) till 2022. A postdoctoral position is available at the Technical University of Dortmund for a motivated and qualified scientist who is interested to continue the development of miniaturised resonators for EPR. These microresonators are optimised for detecting small samples (down to the nanometer range) with high sensitivity. Candidates should have a firm background and proven track record in the field of magnetic resonance and an interest in numerical simulations of the resonators.
