Staff MR Physicist

F.M. Kirby Research Center for Functional Brain Imaging, Kennedy Krieger Institute

A full-time position is available for an MR physicist. The candidate should have a PhD degree in Physics, Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering or a related field with a strong background in magnetic resonance. The position entails supporting a diverse group of researchers from Kennedy Krieger and Johns Hopkins University with their in vivo imaging studies on our 11.7T and 17.6T Bruker preclinical MR scanners, optimizing imaging protocols and assisting in the necessary education of these researchers. Pulse sequence programming skills are required for this position. Some insight into hardware setup is a plus. The candidate will initially work in a supportive development role, and should take on his/her own technical development projects as time progresses.
