Instrument Specification
A variety of centrifuges is available in the unit, for separating particles in a solution according to their size, shape, density, viscosity (e.g., separating cell membrane and inclusion bodies from soluble proteins). We have Microcentrifuges for 2 mL volume up to 17,000 x g, Multifuges for different volumes (microplate up to 250 mL) and force up to 25,000 x g (depending on rotor), and a Sorvall LYNX6000 Superspeed centrifuge for sample volumes of 1.5 mL up to 1 L and force up to 100,000 x g (depending on rotor).
