Scriber

Instrument Specification

A wafer scriber is a tool used in the semiconductor industry for the purpose of cutting or scribing wafers.
The wafers are thin, circular pieces of semiconductor material, typically made from silicon, used as a substrate for fabricating integrated circuits and other electronic components.
The wafer scriber consists of a mechanical arm that holds a cutting tool (diamond-tipped stylus) and a platform that supports the wafer during the cutting process. The cutting tool is controlled by hand, and the instrument rail with a precise view for alignment with a microscope allows precise cuts on the wafer surface.
