Safety
Users must be trained regarding precautions in working safely at low temperatures (liquid Helium and Nitrogen), with high voltages (up to 380 V), high magnetic fields (up to 1 T), and with different chemicals and materials, which are in use in the lab.
Use cloth gloves and glasses to prevent cold burns when working with liquid helium or nitrogen.
People with medical implants (such as cardiac implant pacemakers, aneurysm clips, surgical clips, or prostheses) should check before entering the lab whether a pulse of electromagnetic field could be harmful to them.
All magnetic objects should be kept at least 1m from the permanent magnets, which are in use in the lab. Upon completing work, the magnets must be returned to their special metallic box housing.
